ORDINANCE NO. 10 .2 3
AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY
THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS AND
PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN ANNEX NO. 2 TO STREET IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 607 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, more than a majority in value of the property owners
owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in
Annex No. 2 to Street Improvement District No. 607 of Little Rock,
Arkansas, organized foie the purpose of grading, draining, curbing,
guttering and paving Fillmore Street as therein set out, have petitioned
the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construc-
tion of said improvement, and that the cost thereof be assessed upon
the real property of said Annex according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot, block
and parcel of real property situated in said Annex equals or exceeds
the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $17,500; now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That the said several lots, blocks and parcels of
real property in Annex No. 2 to Street Improvement District No. 607
of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed according to the assessment list
for said Annex as the same now remains or may hereafter be changed in
the office of the City Clerk, and that ten per centum (10%) of the
assessment of each of said lots, blocks and parcels shall be collected
with the first installment of the general taxes becoming due in 1957,
and ten per centum (10%) of the assessment shall be collected annually
thereafter with the first installment of the general taxes until the
whole of said local assessment shall be paid.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
