ORDINANCE NO. 10,264
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. It is hereby recognized that a majority of the
real estate owners of a tract of land contiguous and adjoining the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a majority of the real estate
owners living in this affected area, duly petitioned the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, that their property be annexed
to the City of Little Rock; and that after publication of notice
of the hearing on said Petition and other formalities required by
the Statutes of Arkansas, a hearing was held in the County Court of
Pulaski County, and the Court made a finding that all requirements
for annexation had been met and on the 16th day of July, 1956,
entered its order annexing to the City of Little Rock the lands de-
scribed in this Ordinance; and that no proceeding was instituted in
the Circuit Court of Pulaski County to prevent the annexation within
the thirty days from the date of the order of the County Court of
Pulaski County,
Section 2. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, pursuant to the
Statutes of Arkansas, does hereby accept the said annexation and the
following described lands are hereby annexed to the City, of Little
Rock:
Begin at the intersection of the East line of Section
26, Township 2 North, Range 13 West and the South line of
State Highway No. 10, thence in a Northwesterly direction
along the South line of said Highway #10 to a point on the
West line of the E2 SE-14 of said Section 26, thence South
along the West line of said E2 SE4 of said Section 26 to the
Southwest corner of said E2 SE-41 Section 26, thence continue
South along the West line of the E2 NE4 of Section 35,
Township 2 North, Range 13 West, to a point which is 470
feet South of the Northwest corner of the SE4 NE4 of said
Section 35, thence East to a point on the East line of

Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13-West which is
470 feet South of the Northeast corner of the SEA NE4
of said Section 35, thence North along the East line
of said Sections 35 and 26 to the point of beginning.
These lands shall be incorporated and included within Ward 5
of the City of Little Rocky Arkansas.
Section 3. It appearing that the residents in the area hereby
annexed are suffering serious hardship and inconvenience because
they are deprived of the services provided by the City of Little Rock
and in order to preserve the peace., health and safety of the people
of the City of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby declared and this
Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.

Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13-West which is
470 feet South of the Northeast corner of the SEA NE4
of said Section 35, thence North along the East line
of said Sections 35 and 26 to the point of beginning.
