HomeMy WebLinkAbout10354ORDINANCE NO. 10, 354 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING LANDS AND PARCELS OF LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR PUBLIC USEiAND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. Sects I. WHEREAS, title has been acquired by condemnation proceedings and obtained by purchase by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the following described lands and parcels of lands situated in the City of Little Rocks Arkansas, to wit: (1) Lots 1, 29 3, in Block 79, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas. (2) An easement for installing and maintaining a storm water sewer, 10 feet wide, being 5 feet each side of a line described as follows, and as shown on Sheet No. 3 of the Plans for Job No. 6511, FAP U -US -524 (1) Pt. 4, and being known as Little Rock Riverfront Drive: Beginning on the north right -of -way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, at railroad survey station 41 +85 approximately 133 feet west of the west line of Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, thence northwardly in a straight line to the bank of the Arkansas River, �3) A parcel of land lying north of the south line of Water treet, City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Main Street and the south line of Water Street, thence horthwardly along the east line of Main Street a distance of 30.3 feet to a point, thence eastwardly in a straight line to the point on the northwardly extension of the west line of Scott Street which is 14 feet north of the south line of Water Street, thence in a straight line to.the intersection of the east line of Scott Street and the south line of Water Street, thence westwardly in a straight line across Scott Street and along the south line of Water Street to the point of beginning, containing 6511.25 square feet, more or less. (4) A parcel of land in the north half of Block 349 original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the point on the east line of hot 1 which is 85 feet south of the northeast corner of Lot 1, thence west parallel to the north line of Lot 1 38.2 feet to the point of beginning; thence northwesterly in a straight line to the point on the west line of Lot 1 which is 82.5 feet south of the northwest corner of Lot 1, thence northwesterly in a straight line to the point on the west line of Lot 6 which is 8.5 feet south of the Northwest corner of Lot 6, thence south along the west line of tot 6 11.5 feet, thence south- easterly in a straight line to the point on the east line of Lot 5 which is 42 feet south of the northeast corner of Lot 5, thence southeasterly in a straight line to the point on the east line of Lot 3 which is 85 feet south of the north- east corner of Lot 3, thence east parallel to the north line of Lots 2 and 1 to the point of beginning, containing 2041 square feet, more or less. i (5) A parcel of land in the north half of'Block 34, original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point on the west line of Lot 6 which is 60.feet north of the south line of Bridge Street, thence north along west line of Lot 6, to the point which is 20 feet south of north line of Lot 6, thence southeastwardly in a straight line to the point on the east line of Lot 5, which is 42 feet south of the north line of Lot 5, thence South along East line of Lot 5 to the Southeast corner of Lot 5; thence West along the South lines of Lots 5 and 6 to the Southwest corner of Lot 6; thence North along the West line of Lot 6 a distance of 2 feet to a set -back line which is parallel to and 30 feet North of the South line of Bridge Street; thence East along the set -back line to the point which is 19 feet East of the West line of Lot 5, thence northwestwardly in a straight line to the point on the west line of Lot 5 that is 20 feet north of the set -back line, thence northwestwardly in a straight line to the point of beginning, containing 8,660 square feet, more or less; except a site for a gas regulator station containing 144 square feet, more or less, which site is more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the west line of Lot 5 and a line parallel to and 30 feet north of the south line of Bridge Street, thence east parallel to the south line of Bridge Street a distance of 19 feet to the point of beginning, thence continue east parallel to the south line of Bridge Street a distance of 12 feet to a point, thence north parallel to the west line of Lot 5 a distance of 12 feet to a point, thence west parallel to the south line of Bridge Street a distance of 12 feet to a point, thence south parallel to the west line of Lot 5 a distance of 12 feet to the point of beginning. The net area hereby dedicated contains 83516 square feet, more or less. (6) A parcel of land in the north half of Block 34, original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point on the west line of Lot 4 which is 42 feet south of the northwest corner of Lot 4, thence south along the west line of Lot 4 to the north line of the alley (Bridge Street), thence east along the north line of the alley (Bridge Street) to the east line of Lot 10 thence North along the east line of Lot 1 to the point which is 85 feet south of the northeast corner of Lot 1, thence west in a straight line parallel to the north lines of Lots 1 and 2 to the west line of Lot 2, thence northwestwardly in a straight line to the point of beginning, containing 11,150 square feet, more or less. (7) A parcel of land in the south half of Block 34, original City of Little Rock, Arkansas., more particularly described as follows: Lot 12, Block 34, containing 7,000 square feet, more or less. Section 2. Said lands and parcels of lands described in Section 1 of this ordinance are hereby accepted by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as and for the said City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the same are hereby dedicated for public use as a street and are available for highway purposes. Section 2., It being deemed necessary for the best service, convenience, w®lfare and safety of the traveling public that the said lands and parcels of lands be improved by the construction of a suitable street and such other facilities as are necessary, and that the traffic conditions at the present and those in the foreseeable future are such that the immediate construction of such street is in the best interest of the traveling public and the public generally that an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication; and all ordinances and parts of ordinances. in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
