HomeMy WebLinkAbout10353r ORDINANCE N0. 10.3 q3 0 ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING LANDS AND PARCELS OF LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR PUBLIC USE-,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. Section 1, WHEREAS, title has been acquired by- condemnation proceedings and obtained by purchase by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the following described lands and parcels of lands situated.in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to wit: (1) A part of Block 186, original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point on the west line of Block 186 which is 196 feet north of the southwest corner of Block 186, thence south along the west line of Block 186 to the southwest corner of Block 186,.thence east along the south line of Block 186 to the southeast corner of Block 186, thence north along the east line of Block 186 a distance of 117.7 feet to a point on the east line of Block 186, thence on a deflection angle of 79 degrees 17 minutes to the left a distance of 58.9 feet to a point, thence on a deflection angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes to the left a distance of 20 feet to a point, thence on a deflection angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes to the right a distance of 110 feet to a point, thence on a deflection angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes to the right a distance of 42.7 feet to a point, thence on a deflection angle of 90 degrees 47 minutes to the left a distance of 140,9 feet to the point of beginning, containing 45,176 square feet, more or less. (2) A parcel of land between Spring Street and the northwardly extension of the east line of Conway Street, City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point on the east line of Spring Street which is 106.35 feet north of the north line of Garland Avenue, thence south along the east line of Spring Street to the north line of Garland Avenue, thence east along the north line of Garland Avenue a distance of 180 feet to the northerly extension of the east line of Conway Street, thence north along the northerly extension of the east line of Conway Street a distance of 72.22 feet to a point, thence northwesterly in a straight line to the point of beginning, containing 16,050 square feet, more. or less. (3) A parcel of land between the northwardly extenem -0 the east line of Conway Street and the west line of Main Streets City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which is bounded on the south by the north lines of Blocks 79 and 80 and the north line of the 3001 x 3001 square upon which is located the Old State, House, original City.of Little Rock, Arkansas, and whiGh.is bounded on the north by the south line of the right -of -way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, said south line of the right•of- way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad being ten (10) feet south, measured normal to the center line described as follows: t'+ 1 air- - Commencing at a point on the west line of Spring Street and 177.41 feet north of the southeast corner of Block 186 (which is on the north line of Garland Street); thence southeastwardly, along a five degree curve to the right and which curve's tangent forms an angle of 74 degrees 27 minutes from the said west line of Spring�Street in the southeast quadrant, a distance of 95.13 feet to point of tangent (end of curve); thence continue southeastwardly by a straight line, tangent off last described curve, 159.50 feet to a point on the northerly extension of the east line of Conway Street, and which point is 152.46 feet north of the south line of Garland Street measured along said northerly extension for the point of beginnipgj thence continue along said straight line, 66.93 feet to the point of curve (beginning) of six degree twenty four minutes curve to the left; thence, eastwardly, along the curve, 372P71 feet to point of tangent (end of curve; thence northeastwardly, by a straight 34ne, tangent off last described curve, 66.20 feet to the point of curve (beginning) of five degree three minutes thirty second curve to the right; thence eastwardly, along said curve, 250.25 feet to point of tangent (end of curve); thence coutheastwardly, tangent to last described curve, 65.35 feet to point of curve (beginning) of three degree forty three minute curve to the left] thence 3135 feet eastwardly along said curve to the,west line of Main Street. (4) The northerly portion of Block 80, original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, described as follows: The north 3 feet of Block 80, being a 3' x 1201 parcel, con- taining 360 square feet, more or less. (5) The northerly portion of the west 150 feet of Block 79, original City of Little Mock, Arkansaa, described as followsa The north 3 feet of the west 150 feet of Block 79, being a 31 x 1501 parcel, containing 450 square feet, more or less, Not dedicated hereby are'air rights over the west 75 feet of the parcel herein described, above the bottom of floor slab of second story of the'parking garage (elevation 283.33 U.S.G.S, datum), and air rights over the east 75 feet of the parcel herein described, above the bottom of floor slab of second story of the parking garage (elevation 288.73 U.S.G.S. datum). Also dedicated hereby is an easement, 3 foot wide and adjoining the above described parcel on its south side, for the construction and maintenance of a concrete retaining wall between and in (rent of the northermost row of columns supporting the parking garage. The retaining wall shall be so constructed as to leave undisturbed the existing columns and column footings. Sect 2., Said lands and parcels of lands described in Section 1 of this ordinance are hereby accepted by the City Council of the City of Litt:q Rock, Arkansas, as and`for the said City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the same are hereby dedicated for public use as a street and are available for highway purposes. Section It being deemed necessary for the beat services conveniences welfare and safety of the traveling public that the said lands and parcels of lands be improved by the construction of a suitable street and ouch other facilities as are necessary, and that the traffic conditions at the present and those in the foreseeable future are such that the immediate construction of such street is in the best interest of the traveling public and thy► public generally that an emergency is hereby declared to wd.ets - and this' ordi,napoe shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication= and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
