AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE HDMITS TO BE
RECEIVED BY THE OWN RS OF MCH OF THE SEVERAL
LOTS, BLOCKS AND PARCET,S OF LAND WITHIN
ANNM N0. 2 TO STRUT IMPROVAM dT DISTRICT
No. 6o6 OF THE CITY 0I' LITTLE =1, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, more than two - thirds in value of the property holders
owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in
Annex No. 2 to Street Improvement District No. 606 of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, organised for the purpose of improving::and
paving West 18th Street from Pierce Street to Buchanan Street; Grant
Street from the south line of Rest 18th Street to the Korth line of
West 17th Street, as therein not out have Jetitioned the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of said
improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real
property of said Annex No. 2 according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and
parcel of real property situated in said Annex No. 2 equals or exceeds
the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $6,000.00:
NOW, THZ&EFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE BOCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of
real property in said Annex No. 2 to Street Improvement District No. 606
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed according to the
assessment list for said Annex No. 2 to said improvement district as
the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk or as the same may
from time to time be revised, and that five per centum (5 %) of the
assessment on each of said blocks, lots and parcels shall be collected
by the County Collector with the first installment of general taxes
becoming due in 1957 and annually thereafter with the first installment
of general taxes until the whole of said local assessment sYAl be paid.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in frill force
and effect from and after its passage.
