ORDINANCE NO. 10,280
AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE RAZING AND REi'u,OVAL OF HOUSES
HEREINAFTER SET FORTH, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK;DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO TAKE SUCH ACTION
AS IS NECESSARY TO ACMO.PLISH RESULTS DESIRED BY THIS
OttDINANCE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES:
6HEREAS, property hereinafter described has been
allowed to deteriorate and become run -down by the owners
thereof resulting in the property being dilapidated, unsafe,
unsightly, dangerous, obnoxious, and detrimental to the
welfare of the citizens of the City of Little Rock; and
ahErtEAS, the condition of this property is a serious
fire, health, and structural hazard and, unless immediate
action is taken to remedy this situation, there is great
likelihood that the surrounding property will be destroyed
by fire originating in such unsafe and hazardous structures
or that the buildings will collapse; and it is also dangerous
to the health and safety of the citizens of Little Rock.
NO4 9 ThEREFORE 9 BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL. OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION-1. That the owners of the property hereinafter
listed are hereby ordered to remove or raze the structures
on said property or
repair them within thirty
(30) days from
the day of the effect of this ordinance:

SECTION 2. That the City Attorney is hereby directed to
institute such legal proceedings against such persons as may be
necessary in order to enforce the provisions of this ordinance,
and to remedy the dangerous and unsightly conditions brought about
as a result of failure of the owner to properly keep up the property.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and, unless the provisions
of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public
peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be
adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
