AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF
"I" STREET WHICH LIES BETWEEN BLOCKS TWELVE (12) AND
THIRTEEN (13), PLEASANT HILL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND THAT PORTION OF "J" STREET
WHICH LIES BETWEEN BLOCKS FIVE (5) AND TWELVE (12),
PLEASANT HILL A)DITION TO =, CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 10th
day of May, 1957, asking the City Council to vacate and
abandon all that portion of "I" Street which lies between
Blocks 12 and 13, Pleasant Hill Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, and that portion of "J" Street
which lies between Blocks 5 and 12, Pleasant Hill Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law,
the City Council has, at the time and place mentioned in
the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question, and has ascertained that the portion of said
streets hereinbefore described has heretofore been dedicated
to the public use as a street; that said portion of said
streets was never opened to the public generally at any time,
and has not been used by the public generally for a period
of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the
plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon
that portion of said streets to be vacated have filed with
the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and
that public interest or welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby releases,

vacates and abandons all of the rights of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, together with the rights of the public generally,
in and to that portion of "I" Street which lies between Blocks
12 and 13, Pleasant Hill Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, and that portion of "J" Street which lies between
Blocks 5 and 12, Pleasant Hill Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, reserving unto the Arkansas Louisiana Gas Co.,
its successors and assigns, a right of way 10 feet in wifth
upon, over, under and across a part of "I" Street for the
construction, operation and maintenance of a pipeline, said
right of way being 5 feet on each side of the center line of
the gas pipe line presently installed in "I" Street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified
by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records
of said County.
SECTION 3. THIS Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
