AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two
thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that
an improvement district be established for the purposes hereinafter
set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by
more than two thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:
NE* SW* SE t; and Wj SW* SEJ; and Sj NW* SW* (except NJ Ef
Sj NWt SWJ); and Ali SE* (except that part described as:
Begin at NW corner of Wt SEk; thence South 291 feet;
thence Bast at right angles to West line of NWj SEJ 60 feet;
thence left along curve having radius of 180.87 feet, a
distance of 138.9 feet; thence right along curve having
radius of 120.8 feet, 98.1 feet; thence East, parallel to
and 195 feet South of North line of NWk SE}, 684.4 feet;
thence right along curve having radius of 280 feet, 208.2
feet; thence left along curve having radius of 310.4 febt,
212.3 feet to intersection of East line of NWT; SEk; thence
North 346.8 feet to NE corner of NW* SE *; thence Wiest
1336.4 feet to beginning, containing 6.99 acres) all in
Section 360 Township 2 North, Range 13 West;
Lots 12 2, 37, 38, 39, 40, 50, 51, 52, 53, 63, and 64, and
Tract A, in Ridgecrest Manor, an Addition to the City of
Little Rock;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Blocks 6 and 11;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Blocks 7 and 10;
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, of Blocks 13 and 16;
Lots 1 to 9, inclusive, of Block 14;
Lots 4 t 12, inclusive, of Block 15;
Lots 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, and 12 of Blocks 17, 18, 19, and 20;
All in Success Addition to the City of Little Rock;
Lots 1 to 12, inclusive, of Block 1;
Lots 1 to 13, inclusive, of Block 2;
All in Sunset Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock;
All of Block 13;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Block 14;
All of Block 15;
West 140 feet of South 188 feet, and East 148 feet of
South 138 feet, of Block 16;
All in Pleasant Hill Addition to the City of Little Rock;
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, and guttering, in such
a manner and with such materials as the commissioners to be elected
for the said improvement district shall deem to be for the best
interest of said district, the following parts of the following streets
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
"H" STREET (also known as "E" Street) from the West
line of Hayes Street to the East line of Mississippi
Street (Avenue);
MELLON STREET from the North line of "H" Street
to the South line of "K" Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from any
agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and charged
upon the real property above described; provided, the liability of
each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as "Curb and Gutter Improvement
District No. 615 of Little R)ck, Arkansas," and
J. F. Holmes .9 Berch E. Henry
and 0. D. Hadfield, Jr.
are hereby named commissioners,
who shall compose the Board of Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
