AN ORDINANCE FDCING THE WIDTH OF PAVEMENT OF
STONEWALL ROAD FROM THE EAST LINE OF NORTH
VAN BUREN STREET TO THE WEST LINE OF NORTH
JACKSON STREET AND THE WIDTH OF PAVEMENT OF
NORTH JACKSON STREET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF
CLUB ROAD TO THE SOUTH LINE OF STONEWALL
ROAD, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3939; AND FOR
QTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Stonewall Road comes to a dead end at the intersection
of North Spruce Street and Stonewall Road, is infrequently used and will never be
used as a thoroughfare due to the topography and ownerships of the land; and
WHEREAS, North Jackson Street comes to a dead end at the inter-
section of Stonewall Road and North Jackson Streets, is infrequently used and will
never be used as a thoroughfare due to the topography and ownerships of the land;
and
WHEREAS, because of these reasons there is no necessity to require
the width of pavement on said Stonewall Road and North Jackson Street as herein-
after described and it is desirable that the pavement on Stonewall Road, as herein-
after described, be established at 30 feet and it is desirable that the pavement on
North Jackson Street, as hereinafter described, be established at 26 feet; NOW, THERE
FORE,
ARKANSAS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
Section 1. That the Width of pavement on Stonewall Road from the
East line of North Van Buren Street to the West line of North Jackson Street be and
the same is hereby fixed and established at 30 feet, with an overall width of 31
feet from back -of -curb to back -of -curb allowing for a 50 foot transition from the
present curb on Sonewall Road.
Section 2. That the Width of pavement on North Jackson Street
from the North line of Club Road to the South line of Stonewall Road be and the
same is hereby fixed and established at 26 feet with an overall width of 27 feet
from back -of -curb to back -of -curb allowing for a 50 foot transition from the present
curb on North Jackson Street.
Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
