HomeMy WebLinkAbout10665ORDINANCE NO. 10 66 AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE MMS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS, AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 618 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, more than two - thirds in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Street Improvement District No. 618 organized for the purpose of grading and paving Coolidge, Mellon and Bryan Streets, as therein set out, have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said district according to the benefits received; and WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $6.,750 Dollars; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the Cityof Little Rock, Arkansas: SECTION 1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of real property in said district be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and that Six and Two - Thirds per eentum (6 -2/3 %) of the assess- ment of each said blocks, lots, and parcels shall be collected by the County Collector with the first installment of the general taxes becom- ing due in 1958, and Six and Two- Thirds per centum (6 -2/3%) of the assessment shall be collected annually thereafter with the first install- ment of the general taxes pistil the whole bf said local assessment shall be paid. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
