AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PORTION
OF WOODLAWN AVENUE RUNNING FROM THE WEST
PROPERTY LINE OF SHAMROCK DRIVE TO THE EAST
PROPERTY LINE OF BECKWOOD ROAD LYING BETWEEN
BLOCKS 1 AND 4, McINTOSH ADDITION NO. 2 TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 4th day of September, 1957, asking the
City Council to abandon and vacate the hereinafter described portion of
Woodlawn Avenue lying between Blocks 1 and 4, McIntosh Addition No. 2
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which plat appears in Plat Book 1,
Page 253, in the office of the Circuit Clerk and ex officio Recorder
for Pulaski County, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
tb be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portion of
Woodlawn Avenue hereinafter mentioned has been heretofore dedicated to
the public use as a street herein described but has not actually been
used by the public for a period of at least five years prior to the
filing of the petition; nor at any other time; that the owners of the
property abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated have
filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment, and
that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abandonment of that portion of said street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas;
SECTION 1, The City of Little Rock hereby releases, vacates,
and abandons all of its rights together with the rights of the public
generally, except the rights and needs of public utilities to ingress
and egress to maintain and use present utility lines that might be located
thereili and thereon and the portion of Woodlawn Avenue designated as
follows:
Woodlawn Avenue from the West property line of Shamrock
Drive to the East Property line of Beckwood Road lying
between Blocks 1 and 4, McIntosh Addition No. 2 to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County
and recorded in the deed records of the County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
