AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 9006 AS-AMENDED BY.`PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF THE
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT 4HALL BE COMPENSATED
BY EXTRA PAY, COMPUTED 41-THE STRAIGHT RATE
OF PAY UNDER THE SALARY-SCHEDULE APPLYING TO
SAID EMPLOYEES WHEN SAID EMPLOYEE IS REQUIRED
TO WORK IN EXCESS OF 40 HOURS A WEEK.
BE I ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 9006 as amended be and is
hereby amended by providing that certain employees of the Street
Department of the Public Works Department shall be compensated by
extra pay, computed at the straight rate of pay under the salary
schedule applying to said employees when said employees is required
to work in excess of 40 hours a week.
SECTION 2. In as much as the Street Department of the Public
Works Department was delayed three (3) months in starting its
yearly Street Program due to bad weather, it will be necessary for
certain personnel of the Street Department to work on Saturday in

SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in fuyl
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
