ORDINANCE N0. 10,786
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CERTAIN AREA OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCS, ARKANSAS, TO SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 130 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of a majority or more in
assessed value of the real property located within the territory herein-
after described, which is contiguous to Sewer Improvement District No. 130
of Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created and existing improvement district,
have filed a petition praying that said territory be annexed to said Dis-
trict for the purposes hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring to be
heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more than a
majority in assessed value of the owners of real property within said
territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That the following described property in the City of
Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
Beginning at a point at the Center Line of Mississippi Avenue
which point is the Northeast corner of Section 35, Township 2
North, Range 13 West, thence run North along the Center Line
of said Mississippi Avenue to the South line of State Highway
No. 10, thence run in a Northwesterly direction along the South
line of State Highway No. 10 to a point where said South line
intersects the North line of Lot 9, Block 20, Bellevue Addition
to the City of Little Rock; thence run West along the North
line of Lots 9, 8, and 7, Block 20, Bellevue Addition to the
Northwest corner of said Lot 7; thence run South along the
West line of Blocks 20, 19 and 18 and 17 to the Southwest
corner of Block 17, Bellevue Addition to the City of Little
Rock; thence run South along the West line of the NE4 of
Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13 West, to a point which
is 260 feet South of the Southwest corner of the fi NE-41 NET'
Section 35; thence run East to the Center line o�f Watt Street;
thence run North to the South line of the N$ NE4 NE4 Section
35, which point is in the center line of Ohio Street; thence
run East along the center line of Ohio Street to a point which
is 165 feet West of the center line of Mississippi Avenue;
thence run North 165 feet from and parallel to the center line
of Mississippi Avenue to the North line of the NET of said
Section 35, thence run East to the Point of Beginning;
Part of Riffel & Rhotonts Forest Park Highland Addition,
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 8, Block 4, Riffel
& Rhoton's Forest Park Highland Addition; thence run East
along the North line of Lots 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, & 3 to the North-
east corner of Lot 3, Block 4, Riffel & Rhotonts Forest Park
Highland Addition; thence run South along the East line of
Lots 3 and 24, Block 4, Lots 3 and 24, Block 5, and Lot 3,

Block 8 to the Southeast corner of Lot 3, Block 8; thence
run West along the South line of Lots 3, 4, 51 6, 7, 8, 9,
10 and 11 to the Southwest corner of Lot 11, Block 8; thence
run North along the West line of Lot 11, Block 8, Lots 16 and
11, Block 5 and Lot 16, Block 4, to the Northwest corner of
Lots 16, Block 4, thence run East along the North line of Lots
16, 17 and 18 to the Northeast corner of Lot 18, Block 4, which
point is also the Southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 4; thence
run North along the West line of Lot 8, Block 4 to the point
of beginning;
be and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Sewer Improvement
District No. 130 of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Commissioners of said
District shall proceed to make the improvements petitioned for by con-
structing within the annexed area a sanitary sewer collection system to
connect with the basic sanitary sewer system of Sewer Improvement District
No. 130 of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the basic sanitary sewer system of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, in the manner and of the materials
that the Commissioners of Sewer Improvement District No. 130 shall deem
to be for the best interest of said annexed territory, and that the
costs thereof be assessed upon the real property above - described,
according to the benefits received.
SECTION 2. That said annexed territory shall be known as Annex
No. 1 to Sewer Improvement District No. 130 of Little Rock, Arkansas.
BECTION 3. That the Commissioners of Sewer Improvement District
No. 130 of Little Rock, Arkansas, shall make the assessment of benefits
for said improvements on the lots, blocks or parcels of real property
in the territory herein annexed on the same basis as if said territory
were included in the original District and shall file said assessments
with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
