ORDINANCE NO. 10,784
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THREE SEPARATE PORTIONS OF GLOVER STREET IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by The Bracy Corporation
and others, with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, on the 16th day of April, 1958, asking the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to vacate, abandon and close
three separate portions of Glover Street in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, located west of and adjacent to Blocks 17, 18 and 19, Bellevue
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and as more particularly
described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has, at the time and
place mentioned in the Notice, held a public hearing upon the question
of closing said three separate portions of Glover Street, hereinafter
described, and
WHEREAS, petitioners are the owners of all lands abutting upon
said three separate portions of Glover Street to be vacated and closed
in these proceedings, and those portions of Glover Street located adja-
cent to and west of Blocks 17 and 1% Bellevue Addition, have never been
physically opened and improved, and no street or road has ever been
constructed in the right-of-way therefor, and said two portions of Glover
Street have not been actually used by the public as a street or alley for
a period of five (5) years, and the portion of Glover Street located
adjacent to and west of Block 18, Bellevue Addition, is no longer needed
for corporate purposes as other means of travel to and from the areas
served by a roadway located thereon are being provided, and 25 foot
portions of Glover Street located adjacent to and both north and south
of "T" Street should remain opened and unclosed in order to provide a
means of turning around at the west terminus of "T" Street at the west
boundary line of Bellevue Addition; and
WHEREAS, Sewer Improvement District No. 130 of Little Rock,
Arkansas, has requested that the west 10 feet of said three separate

portions of Glover Street, located adjacent to Blocks 17, 18 and 19,
Bellevue Addition, be reserved as an easement for the purpose of con-
structing, maintaining and repairing an underground sanitary sewer
lateral to be constructed thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights
of the public generally, but excepting any easements now in effect for
utility lines, in and to the three separate portions of Glover Street
designated as follows and upon the plat of Bellevue Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, of record with the Pulaski County, Arkansas
Circuit Clerk and Recorder, a certified copy of which plat is filed
herein with the Little Rock City Clerk:
Those portions of Glover Street (originally dedicated as
4th Street) adjacent to and abutting the west boundary
lines of Block 17, the south 275 feet of Block 18 and
the north 275 feet of Block 19, all located in Bellevue
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more partic-
ularly described as:
(1) Begin at the NW corner of Lot 6, Block 17, Bellevue
Addition, thence South along the West boundary line of
Lots 6 and 7, Bellevue Addition, to the SW corner of said
Lot 7, thence West 30 feet at a right angle to said West
boundary lines of Lots 6 and 7 to the West boundary line
of Glover Street; thence North along said West boundary
line of Glover Street 300 feet to a point; thence East
30 feet to the point of beginning.
(2) Begin at a point on the West boundary line of Lot 6,
Block 18, Bellevue Addition, that is 25 feet South of
the NW corner of said Lot 6, thence South along the West
boundary line of said Lots 6 and 7, Block 18, Bellevue
Addition, to the SW corner of said Lot 7, Block 18,
Bellevue Addition; thence West at a right angle to the
said West boundary line of said Lots 6 and 7, Block 18,
30 feet to the West boundary line of Bellevue Addition;
thence North along the West boundary line of Bellevue
Addition 275 feet to a point; thence Mst 30 feet to a
point of beginning.
(3) Begin at the NW corner of Lot 6, Block 19, Bellevue
Addition, thence South along the West boundary line of
Lots 6 and 7, Block 19, Bellevue Addition, a distance of
275 feet to a point that is 25 feet North of the SW
corner of said Lot 7, Block 19, Bellevue Addition; thence
West at a right angle to said West boundary line of Lots
6 and 7, Block 19, Bellevue Addition, a distance of 30
feet to the West boundary line of Bellevue Addition;
thence North along the West boundary line of Bellevue
Addition a distance of 275 feet to a point; thence East

a distance of 30 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The west 10 feet of said three separate por-
tions of Glover Street located adjacent to Blocks 17, 18 and 19,
Bellevue Addition, is hereby specifically reserved as an easement
for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and repairing an under-
ground sanitary sewer lateral by Sewer Improvement District No. 130
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. For the reasons set forth in said Petition,
title to the 30 foot width of said three separate portions of Glover
Street is hereby vested in the owners of the lands abutting the east
boundary of said portions of Glover Street, subject to the easements
provided for herein, and provided that the vesting of title to that
portion of Glover Street located west of and adjacent to Block 18
shall take effect at such time as the other means of travel, which
will be a substitute therefor, have been provided.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified by the
Little Rock City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of said
County.
