RESOLUTION NO. 11,845
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE POLICE
5 PURSUIT MOTORCYCLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of three (3) police pursuit
9 motorcycles to replace older, higher mileage units currently being utilized, and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #4302 for the
11 purchase of three police pursuit motorcycles, and the lowest responsible and responsive
12 bid meeting minimum specifications was received from Jones Harley- Davidson in the
13 amount of Fifty Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty and 00/100 Dollars ($50,580.00).
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
17 into a contract for the purchase of three (3) Police pursuit motorcycles for use by the
18 Police Department from Jones Harley- Davidson, for the amount of Fifty Thousand, Five
19 Hundred Eighty and 00/100 Dollars ($50,580.00).
20 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2004 Short Term
21 Financing Account.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
23 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
24 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
25 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
26 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.

Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
