HomeMy WebLinkAbout10719ORDINANCE NO. 10,719 AN ORDINANCE ES ?BLISHING CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVE14ENT DISTRICT NO. 2 1 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that an improvement district be established for the purpose hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more than two thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property within said territory; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district embracing the following; property in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit: East half of Block 13; Lots 1, 2, 3, 10, 11 and 12 of Blocks 20 and 21; Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Block 28; All in Sidney J. Johnson's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, of Block 7; Lots 1 to 7, inclusive, of Block 8; Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, and Lots 22 to 28, inclusive, of Block 62; A strip of land 12 feet in width lying between Lots 7 and 8 of Block 62; A strip of land 12 feet in width lying between Lots Q. and 10 of Block 62; All in Braddock's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, of Block 2; Lots 1, 2, 3 and 12 of Block 3; All in Cedar Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; Lots A, B and C of Block 3 of C. NW,-� of Section 8, described as: Beginning 30 feet South of and 18 feet West of the Northeast corner of said W2 SW SE,-, NW-1; thence West 75 feet; thence South 50 feet; thence East 75 feet; thence North 50 feet to beginning; Part of W2 SW SE4 NW! of Section 8, described as: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 20, Block 62, Braddock's Addition; thence North 27.5 feet for a point of beginning; thence West 73 feet; thence North 57 feet; thence East 73 feet; thence South 57 feet to the point of beginning; All in Township 1 North, Range 12 West; for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, and guttering, in such a manner and with such materials as the commissioners to be elected for the said improvement district shall deem to be for the best interest of said district, the following parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit: ELM STREET from the south line of West 16th Street to the north line of West 20th Street; WEST 18TH STREET from the west line of Pine Street to the east line of Elm Street; and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and charged upon the real property above described. Said district shall be known as "Curb and Gutter Improvement District No. 621 of Little Rock, Arkansas," and Nelson Curry, Benny L. Pruitt, and Robert C. Pennington are hereby named commissioners, who shall compose the Board of Improvement for said District. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
