ORDINANCE NO. 10,710
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
OF CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN MEADOWCLIFF ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas
entered its order on November 6, 1957, upon the petition of owners
of the property affected after due notice of hearing on said peti-
tion for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, ordering
the annexation of the following- described lands located in Pulaski
County, Arkansas:
"Beginning at the Northwest corner of the SW1 NEB,
Section 25, T -1 -N, R -13 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas-
thence easterly along the North line of said SW1 NE4,
which is the city limits of Little Rock, Arkansas, on
the North line of Lots 413 through 425, Meadowcliff
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas to the
Northeast corner of Lot 425; thence southerly along the
East line of Lots 425, 426 and 427 to the Southeast
corner of Lot 427; thence westerly along the South line
of Lots 427 through 439 and 354 -A to the West line of said
SWw NEI, Section 25; thence southerly along the West line
of said SWu NEI, Section 25 to the South corner of Lot
354-A on the East right -of -way line of Sheraton Drive;
thence northwesterly along the East right -of -way line of
Sheraton Drive to the Northwest corner of Lot 353-A;
thence easterly along the North line of Lot 353-A to
the North -att corner of Lot 353-A and the West line of
Lot 413, which 'is on the West line of said SWI NEI,
Section 25; thence northerly along the West line of
Lot 413 and the West line of said SW4 NEI to the
point of beginning.
"Beginning at the common corner of Lots 315, 314, 322
and 321, Meadowcliff Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, a point on the city limits of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence northwesterly along the South
line of Lots 315, 316 and 317 to the common corner of
Lots 318, 317 and 319; thence southwesterly along the
common line of Lots 318 and 319 to the East right -of-
way line of Sheraton Drive; thence northwesterly along
the East right -of -way line of Sheraton Drive to a point
which is the common line of Lots 279 and 280 extended
to the East line of Sheraton Drive; thence west- south-
westerly along the common line of Lots 2?9 and 280
extended and the common line of Lots 279 and 280 to the
common corner of Lots 279, 280, and 281; thence west -
northwesterly along the South line of Lots 279 through
276 to the common corner of Lots 276, 275 and 285; thence
northerly and northeasterly along the West line of Lots
275 through 271 to the common corner of Lots 271, 2702
233 and 234 on the city limits of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence along the city limits of Little Rock to the point
of beginning, more particularly described as: Southeaster-
ly along the North line of Lots 270 through 261 to the
common corner of Lots 175, 1760 177 and 261; thence souther-
ly along the common line of Lots 261 and 177 to the North
right -of -way line of Westmont Circle; thence easterly
along the North right -of -way line of Westmont Circle to

a point which is the common line of Lots 289 and 178
extended to the North line of Westmont Circle; thence
southerly along the common line of Lots 289 and 178
extended and along the East line of Lots 289 and 311
to the North line of Westmont Circle; thence easterly
along the North right -of -way line of Westmont Circle
to a point which is the common line of Lots 312 and
180 extended to the North line of Westmont Circle;
thence southerly along the common line of Lots 312
and 180 extended and the East line of Lot 312 to the
common corner of Lots 312, 325, and 181; thence
westerly along the South line of Lots 312, 313 and
314 to the common corner of Lots 314, 315, 321 and
322 to the point of beginning."
All of said lands are located within Meadowcliff
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. A
plat of said addition is filed for record in the
office of the Circuit Clerk of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, in Plat Book No. 5, at page 72 -108.
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since
the entry of said order of the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and no person, firm or corporation has instituted any
proceedings.in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, or
elsewhere, to prevent said annexation, and no protestants have
appeared and no notice given to the authorities of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas of any attempt to vacate, review, set aside
or appeal from the said order of the County Court; and
WHEREAS, said above - described lands are contiguous to
and adjoin the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
acting through this Board of Directors, does hereby approve the
annexation of, and does hereby accept and make a part of the incor-
porated area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas all of the lands
described hereinabove in this Ordinance; and that said lands be and
are hereby assigned and attached to the Fourth Ward of said City.
Section 2. It is further ordered that when two copies
of the entire proceedings of the Pulaski County-Court concerning
this annexation have been prepared and duly certified by the Pulaski
County Clerk, one copy of said proceedings shall be delivered to
the Little Rock City Clerk for filing and the other copy, together
with a certified copy of this Ordinance, shall be delivered to and
filed with the Secretary of State of the State of Arkansas, pursuant
