AN ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE LITTLE
ROCK BUILDING CODE, PRESCRIBING RULES, PRO-
VISIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS FOR SAFE AND STABLE
DESIGN, HETHODS OF CONSTRUCTION, SUFFICIENCY
OF MATERIALS IN BUILDINGS HE- EAFTER ERECTED,
CONSTRUCTED, ENLARGED, ALTERED, REP1JI`ED,
MOVED, CONVERTED TO OTHER USES, OR DEMOLISHED;
PROVIDING FOR PERMITS TO BE ISSUED AND THE
FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF; REP&ALING ALL CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; DECLA:ING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR
OTHER PUilPOSES. "; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE IOA::D OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 106 of Ordinance No. 7883 is here'--y
amended to read as follows:
'Section 106. Buildings Ivioved.
Buildings and structures hereafter :roved into the
City and existing buildings or structures moved from one
location to another within tie City shall conform to or
shall be made to conform to the requirements of this
Code applicable to new buildings and structures. Buildings
or structures moved within or into the Fire Limits shall,
in addition, comply with the specific requirements set out
in Chapter 16.
A building p ---mit shall be required for the relocation
of any building or structure within the City of Little Rock
and a fee shall be charged therefor at the same rate as that
charged for new construction. No building permit shall be
issued until the Building Inspector has inspected the
building or structure to be relocated and has certified in
writing all structural changes or alterations which will be

-required and the estimated cost thereof in order for the
said buildin;s or structures to conform with the require-
ments of tlis Code applicable to new ': uildings and struc-
tures.
A fee in the following amount shall be charged for
the said inspection:
Buildings located within the City to be relocated
within the City -------------------- $10.00
Buildings located outside the City to be relocated
within the City -------------------- $25.00
A corporate performance bond in an amount equal to
the estimated cost of the structural clanges and alterations
as certified cy the building Inspector shall be required
before the said Du_i.lding permit is issued.
The said bond shall be conditioned upon compliance
within six (o) months of the date of the issuance of the
cuilding permit with all structural alterations or changes
certified b; the Building Inspector as hereinbefore pro-
vided."
SECTION 2. It has been determined that substandard buildings
and structures have been, and are tieing, moved into the City and
relocated therein; and that the said buildings and structures
create a fire hazard and are detrimental to the health and
safety of the citizenry of Little Rock; and that this ordinance
will correct the above evil and eliminate the said hazard; therefore,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being
necessary for tie preservation of public peace, health and safety,
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval; and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby --,- epealed.
