BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AjV- , =,NSAS: SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance o. 3164 is hereby a- mended to read as follows: `SECTION 3. FEE, DUE DATE, PENALTY. The license shall become due and payable on the lst day of *-May each year. The license fee shall be $5.00 which shall be a tax for the privilege of keeping and using said motor vehicle upon the streets of tine City of Little 'Rock. When any owner or operator of any motor vehicle subject to the payment of said license shall fail to pay the same 'r-,y May 20th of each ;rear, then for each ten days, or fractional part of ten days after the 20th day of May of each year, there shall be added to said tax the sum of $1. =00 as penalty. The payment of such penalty shall be enforced in the same manner as the payment of said license fee, pro- vided that the total amount of any penalty shall never exceed the original amount of the license. If the owner or operator of such vehicle purchases city license on or after .=august 1st of the current City ,Auto- mobile Registration Year the license fee shall be $2.50, provided t'ie vehicle has not been operated in the City prior to _August 1st of the current year. D bU 6 - i -2- The due date and the final date provided for in this section stall be complied with by the City Collector's Office and no extension of time, without payment of penalty, will be granted or permitted. SECTION 2. Section 10 of Ordinance No. 3164 is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 10. DUE DATE, FEE AND PENALTY FOR DEALER'S TAG. Dealer's tag shall be due and payable on the lst day of May each year. The fee therefor shall be $5.010 which shall be a tax for the purpose of keeping and using a motor vehicle for demonstration purposes only upon the streets of the City of Little Rock. When any manufacturer and /or dealer subject to the payment of said license shall fail to pay the same by May 20th of each year, then for each ten days, or frac- tional part of ten days after the 20th day of May of each year, there shall be added to the said tax the sum of $1.00 as penalty. The payment of such penalty shall be enforced in the same manner as the payment of said license fee, provided that the total amount of any penalty shall never exceed the original amount of the license. If the manufacturer or dealer purchases a city license on or after August lst of the current City _'automobile Registration Year the fee therefor shall be $2.50, provided the vehicle has not been operated in the City prior to August lst of the current year. SECTION 3. x.11 ordinances and parts of ordinances in -3- conflict herewith are here' --y repealed and this ordinance shall he in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
