RESOLUTION NO. 11,844
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FOUR -WHEEL
5 DRIVE BACKHOE FOR THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo is in need of a four - wheel -drive backhoe, and
9 WHEREAS, this backhoe will replace a 1986 model, and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #4284 for the
11 purchase of the backhoe, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
12 minimum specifications was received from Scott Construction Equipment in the
13 amount of Fifty -four Thousand, Three Hundred Forty and no /100 Dollars ($54,340.00).
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
17 into a contract for the purchase of a backhoe for the Little Rock Zoo from Scott
18 Construction Equipment, for the amount of Fifty -four Thousand, Three Hundred Forty
19 and no /100 Dollars ($54,340.00).
20 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2004 Bond #04173
21 Job- Account # 317 - 235 -En04.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
23 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
24 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
25 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
26 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.

Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
