ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND ONE
HUNDRED THIRTY -ONE DOLLARS AND NINETY -EIGHT CENTS ($8,131.98)
FROM THE STREET FUND PAYABLE TO MARK G. GARVER FOR ENGINEERING
`SERVICES; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY WARRANTS THEREFOR;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Mark G. Garver has rendered. professional engineering
services in connection with the proposed bond issue by making engi-
neering studies, plans and reports relative to the widening of
Hayes Street, Eighth Street and Cantrell Road, and
WHEREAS, Mark G. Garver has further rendered professional en-
gineering services by making engineering studies, plans and reports
relative to the Storm Drainage facilities in the City, and
WHEREAS, professional services of this kind are not a proper
subject for competitive bidding,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of Seven Thou-
sand Three Hundred Thirty -Three Dollars ($7,333.00) from the Street
Fund of the City of Little Rock payable to Mark G. Garver for
engineering services rendered in making studies, plans and reports
relative to the widening of Hayes Street, Eighth Street, and Can-
trell Road.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of Seven Hundred
Ninety Eight Dollars and Ninety -Eight Cents ($798.98) from the
Street Fund of the City of Little Rock payable to Mark G. Garver
for engineering services rendered in making studies, plans and
reports relative to the Storm Drainage facilities in the City.
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are here-
by authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrants in
payment thereof.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict

herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
