ORDINANCE NO. 10,891
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 57 A (1) and 57 B (2)
OF ORDINANCE NO. 10,882, SAME BEING:
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET
FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE TWELVE
(12) MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1959, AND
ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1959; APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR
EACH AND EVERY ITEM OF EXPENDITURE THEREIN PROVIDED
FOR; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES. ";
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 57 A (1) of Ordinance No. 10,882, same
being: "An ordinance providing for and adopting the budget for
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the twelve (12) month
period beginning January 1, 1959, and ending December 31, 1959;
appropriating money for each and everyitem of expenditure there-
in provided for; declaring an emergency to exist;and for other
purposes. ", is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. It has been determined that the number of meter
enforcement officers heretofore authorized do not afford adequate
enforcement of the traffic laws dealing with the parking of vehicles
and that such is detrimental to the public peace, health and safety;
that by adding one additional meter enforcement officer this situation

will be substantially corrected; now therefore, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the preservation of public peace, health and safety shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval; and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
