AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO NEGOTIATE WITH AND PURCHASE FROM THE OWNER THEREOF
A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN LOT 24, BLOCK 4, ALTHEIMER'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, MORE PARTICULARLY
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, FOR A PRICE NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN
HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 DOLLARS ($750.00); APPROPRIATING
THE SUM OF SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 DOLLARS ($750.00)
THEREFOR; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY WARRANTS
THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to negotiate with the owner thereof for the purchase of tae following
described property:
A tract of land located in Lot 24, Block 4, Altheimer's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, more particularly
described as follows:
Begin at a point on the South line of said Lot 24, Block
4, Altheimer's Addition to the City of Little Rock which
is 29.5' East of the Southwest corner of the said lot;
thence West along Kavanaugh Blvd. 29.5' to the Southwest
corner of said Lot; thence North along McKinley Street
along the West line of said Lot a distance of 45.5'; thence
diagonally in a Southeasterly direction to the point of
beginning.
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to purchase the
above described property for a price not to exceed Seven Hundred
Fifty and No /100 Dollars ($750.00).
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated for the purchase of
land more particularly described in Section 1-hereof the total
sum of Seven Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars ($750.00).
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrants for the
purchase of the land described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 4. It has been determined that a serious traffic hazard
exists at the intersection of Kavanaugh Blvd. and McKinley Street
in the City of Little Rock and that the purchase of the triangular
parcel of land above described to be used for street purposes will
substantially correct the said evil; now therefore, an emergency is

hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of public peace, health and safety shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval; and all
ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are Yiereby
repealed.
