AN ORDINANCE VACATING,. ABANDONING, AND CLOSING
PORTIONS OF RIFFS AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by the St. Andreas M. E, Church and
Willie Williams and George Williams, with the Board of Directors of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 29th day of ,A r 1 , 1959, asking the Board
if "recurs of the City of Little Reek, Arkansas, to vac&U# ahaAd*u ; asrd
close that portion of RiffD Avenue lying between Block 12 of Woodlawn Addi-
tion to the City of Little Rocks Arkansas and Lots 1 and 2 and the North 8 feet
of Lot 3s Block 31 A. Co Calloway's Addition to the City of Little Rocks Ark-
ansas,, and as more particularly described hereinafter; and

the City of Little Rocks Arkansas hasp at the time and place mentioned in the
notices held a public hearing upon the question of closing the said portions
of Riffj& Avenue hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, Petitioners are the owners of all lands abutting upon the said
portions of Riffba Avenue lying between Black 12 aZ oo,12 ern Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lots 1 and 2 and the North 8 -foot sf.It 3v
Block 3, A. C. Callowayts Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, have
never been physically opened and improved$ and no street or road has ever been
constructed on the right —oft-way therefor., and said portions of Riffad Avenue
have not been actually used by the public as a street or alley for a period of
five years and the said portion of Rifftl Avenue is no longer needed for corporate
purposes., or for travel of any kind whatsoever;
NOW, THEREFORE$ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSASs
Seetion 1. The City of Little Rocks Arkansas., hereby releases, vacates$
wad b&nd*M all its rights$ together with the rights of the public,generallys

but excepting any easements now in effect for utility linesp in and to the said
portion of Riffb& Avenue$ designeded as follows and upon the plat of As C. Callo-o
wayzs Addition being recorded in Plat Book 1 at page y5 and the plat of Woodlom
Addition being recorded in'D&A Record Book 75 at page 615 in the office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County$ Arkansas, certified copies of which plats are filed
