AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A
PORTION OF NORTH RINGO STREET IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Whereas, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the lot day of May ,
1959, asking the Board of Directors to close and vacate that portion
of North Ringo Street that lies north of North Street, original City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said area now
appearing of record in Deed Record Book No. 37 at Page 604, in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Whereas, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question, and has ascertained that the
street hereinbefore described has heretofore been dedicated to the pub-
lic; has not been actually used by the public generally for a period
of at least ten years past; that all the owners of the property abut-
ting upon said street to be vacated have joined written consent to such
closing by joining in and signing the petition; and that public inter-
est and welfare will not be, adversely affected by the abandoning and
closing of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK& ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, excepting, however, any and all utility easements
now in effect, in and to the street designated as follows:
The dedicated street known as North Ringo Street
lying North of North Street, Original City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, as shown by the plat on
file in Deed Record Book No. 37, at page 604, in
the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City
Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of said county.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
