AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22 A (1) AND 22 B (1) OF
ORDINANCE NO. 10,882, SAME BEING:
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET
FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE TWELVE
(12) MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1959, AND
ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1959; APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR
EACH AND EVERY ITEM OF EXPENDITURE THEREIN PROVIDED
FOR; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES. ";
BY PROVIDING FOR THE DISABILITY RETIREMENT OF AUBREY
WILKINSON, ANIMAL CONTROL WORKER II, FOR THE REMAINDER OF
THE YEAR 1959; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PUR-
POSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 22 A (1) of Ordinance No. 10,882, same
being: "An ordinance providing for and adopting the budget for
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the twelve (12) month
period beginning January 1, 1959, and ending December 31, 1959;
appropriating money for each and every item of expenditure there-
in provided for; declaring an emergency to exist; and for other
purposes. ", is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 2. Section 22 B (1) of Ordinance No. 10,882 is hereby
amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. It has been determined that payment of disability

compensation, when warranted, should be made at the earliest practi-
cable time by the City in order to effect the continued high morale
of the employees of the City of Little Rock, and that this ordinance
amends Sections 22 A (1) and 22 B (1) of Ordinance No. 10,882 to
provide for same; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval; and all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
