AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 89531 AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 3966 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; DETERMINING THAT
CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK IS NO LONGER
SUITABLE FOR USE AS A PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock has
determined that certain property owned by the City located directly
North of the Missouri - Pacific Railroad between Main and -Cumberland
Streets in the City of Little Rock has been made inaccessible to
pedestrian traffic by the construction of La Harpe Boulevard and
is no longer suitable for use as a park, and
WHEREAS, access is provided for vehicular traffic to the said pro-
perty facilitating its continued use as an automobile parking lot
with spaces rented to the general public;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3953, as amended by Ordi-
nance No. 8966, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 3. The rentals received from the automobile
parking spaces shall be paid into the General Fund of
the City of Little Rock."
SECTION 2. It is hereby determined that the property owned by the
City located directly North of the Missouri - Pacific Railroad between
Main and Cumberland Streets in the City of Little Rock is unsuitable
for park purposes. The said property shall henceforth be used only
as an automobile parking lot with spaces rented to the general public,
pursuant to provisions of Ordinance No. 8953, as amended.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
