HomeMy WebLinkAbout10970e a ORDINANCE NO. 10, 970 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 55 A (1)2 55 B (25) AND 55 B (34) OF ORDINANCE NO. 10,882, SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE YEAR 1959, BY PROVIDING FOR THE DISABILITY RETIREMENT OF JOE F. HEAD, SILAS ATKINSON, AND MANUEL NELLOMS, EMPLOYEES OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR 1959; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Section 55 A (1) of Ordinance No. 10,882, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for the year 1959, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 55. STREET A. Summary EXPENSES ESTIMATED 1958 (1). Salaries $3142676 PROPOSED ALLOWED BY 1959 BOARD $3723,127.56 $372,127.56" SECTION 2. Section 55 B (25) of Ordinance No. 103,882, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 55. STREET B. DETAIL OF SALARIES Per Mo. No. Rate Pro- Proposed Allowed by E_pm . It has been determined that payment of disability compen- sation, when warranted, should be made at the earliest practicable 1 "_y N -2- time by the City in order to effect the continued high morale of the employees of the City of Little Rock, and that this Ordinance amends Section 55 A (1), 55 B (25) and 55 B (34) of Ordinance No. 10,882 to provide for same; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval; and all ordinances and parts of ordi- nances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
