HomeMy WebLinkAbout10991iI . -cw. - 0RDINANCE �1 0 . 10"991 AN ORDINANCE CRa-ATING PROJECT NO. 36 IN ADDITION TO THE PRO- JECTS PREVIOUSLY C :FATED BY ORDINANCES i',10 . 10,921 AND 10 , 9 54 , SAID PROJECT TO BE THE AIR COr DITI01\1II1G ND IMPROVING OF THE DUNBAR RECREATION CENTER; APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000-00) FROM THE 1950"' BOND CONSTRUCTION FUNDS TO THE SAID PROJECT AND PROVIDI'l"G FOR METHOD OF PAYMENT THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AT1D FOR OWER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE =0 ARD OF DIRECTORS Or THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCS`:, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby created in the Park & Airport Con- struction Fund the F=ollowing designated project and the sum of money set out opposite said project is hereby appropriated from the 953 Bond Construction Funds: D. PARR & AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION FUND Appropriation Project 36. Air Con ditionin and Improvin of the Dunbar Recreation Center $15,000.00 SECTIOP 2. The appropriation as provided for hereinabove is made to cover any and ail expenses in connection with the project identified, including, but not limited to, labor,materials and services such as may be from time to ti-me authorized by the 'Board of Directors; provided, however, that the City sviana -er and Director of Finance are hereby autho- rized without further approval of the Board of Directors to execute warrants not exceedin-, One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) each, for the payment of incidental expenditures on the aove authorized project; and further provided that any warrants so issued by the City Mana^;er and Director of Finance shall not exceed the amount of money appropriated for said project. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized, without further approval of the Board of Directors, to execute the necessary warrants for the payment of all invoices and bills bearing the approval of the Engineer:: submitted'by contractors for labor and materials furnished pursuant to contracts approved by the Board of Directors on said project. SECTION 3. The need -- "or capital improvements within the City of C -� -Z- Little Rock creates a condition detrimental to the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of said City and b1 .7 being able to expend the funds hereinabove appropriated at the earliestpossible time such condition can be appreciably relieved; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this o-dinance being, necessary for the preservation of public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval; and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
