HomeMy WebLinkAbout10992A lo ORDINANCE NO. 14,992 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL SUM OF MONEY FROM THE 1958 BOND CONSTRUCTION FUNDS TO BE USED FOR TI:E CONSTRUCTION OF ZOO BUILDINGS AT THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL, ZOO IN CONJUNCTION WITH MONEYS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED AND ESTABLISHED AS PROJECT 16 BY ORDINANCE NO. 10,921; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Boa-rd of Directors desires to appropriate the additional sum of Two Thousand Seven Hundred Sixteen and No /100 Dollars ($2,716.00) from unallocated money in the 1958 Bond Construction Funds for the construction of Zoo Buildings at the Little Rock Municipal Zoo, which was previously designated as Project 16 by Ordinance No. 10,921; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE DOCK, ARKANISAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the 1958 Bond Construction Funds, in addition to those previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 10,921, the following separate sum of money to the particular project set opposite the said sum: D. PARK & AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION FUND Project 16. 4 -Zoo Buildings Appropriation $2,716.00 SECTION 2. The appropriation as provided for hereinabove is made to cover any and all expenses in connection with the project identified, including, Dut not limited to, labor, materials, and services such as may be from time to tir.-te aut iorized by the Board of Directors; provided, however, that the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby auth- orized without further approval of the Board of :Directors to execute warrants not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) each for the payment of incidental expenditures on the above authorized projects; and further provided that any warrant so issued by the City Manager and Directo-f of Iiinance shall_ not exceed the amount of money appropriated for said project. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized, with- out further approval of the Board of Directors, to execute the neces- sary warrants for the payment of all invoices and bills bearing the approval of the Architect submitted by contfactorsfnr labor and materials U e6 '/ C -.5 -2- furnished pursuant to contracts approved Ly the Board of Directors on any project involvin the expenditure of 1953 Bond Construction Funds. SECTION 3. The need for capital improvements within the City of Little hock creates a condition detrimental to t1-le health, welfare and safety of the citizens of said City, and by Vein- able to expend the funds hereinabove appropriated at the earliest possible time such condition can be appreciably -relieved; now therefore, an emerf-enc,- is hereby declared to exist and tf:is ordinance being necessary for the preservation of -public peace, health and safety si-nall _,e in full force and effect from and after its passage and aoproval;and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewit.. are hereb=y -revealed.
