CLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE"ROCK
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. This ordinance shall be known as the Budget
for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the twelve (12) month
period beginning January 1, 1960, and ending December 31, 1960,
reflecting anticipated revenues and expenditures as hereinafter
set forth in the following sections.

SECTION 30. The respective amounts of moeny for each and
every item of expenditure hereinabove proposed as the Budget for
1960 are hereby allowed by the Board of Directors as the Budget
for the City of Little Rock for the year 1960, and are hereby
appropriated for the purposes therein set forth.
SECTION 31. Whereas by reason of the fact that the City's
fiscal year is from January lst to December 31st of each calendar
year, and, whereas, it is necessary by law to have the annual budget
in effect on January 1st of each year in order to operate the City
government; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of public
peace, health and safety shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
