HomeMy WebLinkAbout11015ORDINANCE NO. 11,015 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10853 ASSESSING THE BENEFITS IN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 620 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Street Improvement District No. 620 of Little Rook, Arkansas, has determined that the cost of constructing the proposed improvements in said distri ©t are excessive and that the property owners are unable to pay for the improvements and that the same should not be made and should be abandoned; and WHEREAS, the District has incurred certain indebtedness in its organization: but the 1959 collection of the assessment of benefits is sufficient to pay all of said indebtedness in full, so that it will not be necessary for the City Board of Directors to make any provision for the payment of the indebtedness of the District other than the collection for 1959 upon the assessment of benefits in said District; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, that Section 1 of Ordinance No. 10853 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of real property in said District be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk or as it may herehfter be changed, and that six and two - thirds peroentum ( 6 2/3;x) of the assessment on each of said blocks, lots and parcels shall be ool- leoted by the County Collector with the first installment of the general taxes becoming due in 1959, and none shall be collootad in any succeeding years."
