AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEWER IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 134 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than
two thirds in assessed value of the real property located within
the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying
that an improvement district be established for the purpose
hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all
the parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said
petition was signed by more than two thirds in assessed value of
the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property within the City of
Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -gait:
Begin at the northeast corner of White City Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence Westerly to the point of intersection of the north
right -of -way line of Arkansas State Highway No. 10 and a line that is 20
feet West of the east line of the F-21 NW4 NE NW4, ' Section 36, T -2 -N,
R -13 -W; thence North along this line which is 20 feet West of said east
line of the E2 NW4 NEW NW4/ Section 36, T -2 -N; R- 13 -W, a distance of
155 feet; thence N 76A-0 W to a point on the west line of said E 2 NW4 NE-1 NW4
Section 36, T -2 -N, R -13 -W; thence North along said west line to the north
right -of -way line of Kentucky Avenue; thence West along said north right -
of -way line to the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 4, Abram's Subdivision
of Forest Park Addition to said City; thence North to the northeast corner
of said Lot 9 of said Block 4 of said Subdivision; thence West to the north-
west corner of Lot 7 of said Block 4 of said Subdivision; thence West to
the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Riffel & Rhoton's _Forest Park
Highland Addition to said City; thence North to the northeast corner of
said Lot 1; thence Northwesterly, following a line parallel to said State
Highway No. 10 right -of -way easement, 100 feet Northeast of the said
northeast right -of -way line to a point on the east right -of -way line of
Kingsrow Drive; thence Southwesterly along the east right -of -way line of
Kingsrow Drive and said east right -of -way line projected Southwesterly to
a point on the south right -of -way line of State Highway 10; thence Westerly
and Northwesterly following the south right -of -way line of said highway to
the east right -of -way line of Mississippi Avenue; thence Southeasterly
following a straight line to the Northwest corner of Lot 2, Block 4,
Riffel and RZhoton's Forest Park Highland Addition; thence South along the
lot lines to the southwest corner of Lot 2, Block 8 of said addition; thence
West along the lot lines to the northwest corner of Lot 20, said Block 8
of said addition; thence South to the southwest corner of said Lot 20; thence
West along the south line of said Block 8, extended West, to its intersection
with the west line of Section 36, T -2 -N, R -13 -W; thence South along the
west line of said Section 36, a distance of 1, 625 feet, more or less, to
the point at which the Little Rock city limits turn West; thence West along
the north line of said city limits 320 feet, more or less, to the point at
which the said city limits turn South; thence South along the west line of
said city limits 300 feet, more or less, to the point at which said city
limits turn East; thence East along the south line of said city limits 360
feet, more or less, to a point 40 feet East of the west line of said Section
36; thence North and parallel to the west line of said Section 36 to the
south lot line of Lot 13, Block 17, Riffel & Rhoton's Forest Park
Highland Addition; thence East along the lot lines to the northwest corner
of Lot 13, Block 19 of said addition; thence South along the west line of
said Lot 13 to the southwest corner of said Block 19 of said addition;
thence East along the south line of Block 19 to the southwest corner of
Block 20 of said addition; thence North along the west line of Blocks 20,
13 and 12 of said addition and along said line projected North to the south
line of the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 of said Section 36; thence West along the
south line of said NE 1/4 NW 1/4 to the southeast corner of Ratterree's
Forest Park Highland Addition; thence North among the east line of said
addition to the northeast corner of said addition; thence East along the
south line of Forest Park Addition to the south right -of -way line of
State Highway No. 10; thence Southeasterly along the south right -of -way
line of State Highway No. 10 to the northwest corner of Lot 5, Block 2,
White City Addition; thence South along the west line of said Lot 5 to the
southwest corner of said Lot 5; thence Southeasterly along the south line of
Lots 5 through 1 of said Block 2 to the southeast corner of Lot 1; thence
East along the south line of Lots 6 and 5, Block 3, projected West and along
the south line of Lots 6 and 5, Block 3 of said addition, to the southeast
corner of said Lot 5; thence North to the northeast corner of said Lot 5;
thence Easterly along the south right -of -way line of State Highway No. 10
to the northwest corner of Lot 2 of said Block 3; thence South along the
west line of said Lot 2 to the southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence East
along the south line of Lots 2 and 1 of said Block 3 to the north and south
center line of Section 36, T -2 -N, R -13 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
thence North along the center line of said Section 36 to the point of
beginning;
for the purpose of building a sanitary sewer system to serve
said property, with an outlet or an outfall sewer line beyond
the boundaries of the district if deemed advisable, in such a
manner and with such materials as the commissioners of said
improvement district shall deem to be for the best interest
of said district, and that the cost thereof, over and above
any aid received from any agency of the Federal or City govern-
ment, be assessed and charged upon the real property above
described.
Said district shall be known as *Sewer Improvement District
No. 134 of Little Rock, Arkansas," and Fred M. Garner, Albert
Shemin, and J. H. Davis are hereby named Commissioners, who
shall compose the Board of Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
