ORDINANCE NO. 11,051
AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AS UNFIT FOR HUMAN HABITATION; DIRECTING THE RAZING AND DE-
STRUCTION THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain structures existing in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
are found to be unfit for human habitation; and
WHEREAS, all efforts to induce the owners thereof to repair or demolish
the said structures have failed and all procedural matters set out in Ordi-
nane No. 10,907 have been exhausted; and
WHEREAS, it is beneficial to the general public that said structures be
destroyed;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following structures are hereby declared to be unfit for
human habitation:

SECTION 2. Dr. Mason G. Lawson, Health Officer, and the Enforcing Official
under Ordinance No. 10,907, are hereby authorized and directed to raze and &stray
the above said structures at the earliest convenient time after May 4, 1960.
SECTION 3. All occupants, owners, and owners of liens or mortgages against
any of the above described property shall be notified by the Enforcing Official
of the passage of this Ordinance and occupants of said structures shall vacate
the premises on or before May 4, 1960.
SECTION 4. It is found that sub - standard structures, and particularly the
structures listed in Section 1 hereof, constitute a threat to the public health,
safety and welfare and that the destruction and razing of same will correct this
obnoxious condition; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
