AN ORDINANCE RELEASING, CLOSING, VACATING, AND
ABANDONING THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PORTION OF
CUMBERLAND STREET: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF LOT 11, BLOCK 2, FULK'S SUBDIVISION
OF BLOCKS 14, 15 AND 16, RAPLEY ESTATE, IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS;
THENCE EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 60 FEET TO THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 6, BLOCK 3 OF SAID SUB-
DIVISION; THENCE NORTH ALONG THE WEST LINE OF
SAID BLOCK 3 TO THE POINT WHERE SAID LINE
INTERSECTS AN ARC, HAVING A RADIUS OF 50 FEET,
EXTENDING FROM A POINT 52 FEET SOUTH AND 30
FEET WEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 3 OF
SAID BLOCK 3; THENCE WESTERLY ALONG SAID ARC
TO THE EAST LINE OF LOT 13 OF SAID BLOCK 2;
THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID BLOCK
2 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 29th
day of February, 1960, asking the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock to release, close, vacate and abandon
the above described portion of Cumberland Street, which was
dedicated in the plat and Bill of Assurance of Fulk's Sub-
division of Blocks 14, 15 and 16 of Rapley Estate, in the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of record in
Deed Book 29 at Page 434 in the Office of the Recorder for
Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has at
the time and place mentioned in the notice heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the above described portion of Cumberland Street has
heretofore been dedicated to public use as a street; that
the above described portion of Cumberland Street has not
actually been used by the public generally as a street for
a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of

the above mentioned plat and Bill of Assurance; that all the
owners of the property abutting upon the above described por-
tion of Cumberland Street have filed with the Board of Direc-
tors of the City of Little Rock their written consent to such
abandonment; and that public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment of the above described
portion of Cumberland-Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights together with
the rights of the public generally in and to the following
described portion of Cumberland Street:
Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot 11, Block 2,
Fulk's Subdivision of Blocks 14, 15 and 16, Rapley
Estate, in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas; thence East for a distance of 60 feet to
the Southwest corner of Lot 6, Block 3 of said Sub-
division; thence North along the West line of said
Block 3 to the point where said line intersects an
arc, having a radius of 50 feet, extending from a
point 52 feet South and 30 feet West of the North-
west corner of Lot 3 of said Block 3; thence Westerly
along said arc to the East line of Lot 13 of said
Block 2; thence South along the East line of said
Block 2 to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records
of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
