ORDINANCE NO. 11479

AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING A CERTAIN PORTION
OF WEST 24TH STREET HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, LOCATED IN LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock desires to vacate, close and
abandon a certain portion of West 24th Street hereinafter described,
located in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock deems
the said portion of West 24th Street no longer needed for municipal
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the best interest of the citizenry of the City of Little
Rock will be served by vacating, closing, and abandoning the said
portion of West 24th Street;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby determined that the portion of West
24th Street hereinafter described is not presently being used as a
public street and is no longer needed for any corporate purpose and
should be vacated, closed, and abandoned as a public street.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby vacates, closes and
abandons for use as a public street that portion of West 24th Street
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as
follows:
The North 10 feet of West 24th Street right -of -way between
the East right -of -way line of Broadway Street on the West
and the East line of Lot 6, Block 4, E. W. Gibb's Addition
to the City of Little Rock on the East.
SECTION 3. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Record of said County.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
