'-' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
O SECTION 1. Section 2 (1) of Ordinance No. 10,973 is hereby amended
b to read as follows:

"SECTION 2. BOARD OF PLUMBING SUPERVISION
(1) BOARD OF PLUMBING SUPERVISION: For the purpose of carrying
out the provisions of this ordinance there is hereby created a
Board of Plumbing Supervision, hereinafter referred to as the
Board, consisting of the Chief Plumbing Inspector and the City
Health Officer of the City of Little Rock or a designated assist-
ant of these officials, three (3) master plumbers and two (2)
journeyman plumbers licensed under this ordinance.
(a). All members of the Board shall be residents of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, except the Board of Directors may approve
a member who has a bona fide business or is steadily employed in
the City of Little Rock but having residence in an area adjacent
to the City of Little Rock."
SECTION 2. Section 7 (1) of Ordinance No. 10,973, as amended by
Ordinance No. 10,986 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 7. PERMITS.
(1) PERMIT REQUIRED - PLUMBING AND GAS: No plumbing or drain-
age piping, gas"piping or the installation of or.the replacement
of plumbing or gas appliance, fixtures, equipment or materials
shall be done in any building or property in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, without applying for and obtaining permit to do

such work. The language herein shall not be so construed as
to permit the commencing of any plumbing, piping, installation
or replacement as above described, nor the doing of any acts
in relation thereto, before the issuance of a permit to do
such work. Provided, however, no permit shall be necessary
in the situation of a property owner making minor repairs or
replacements to appliances and fixtures on property occupied
by him as his home."
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
