ORDINANCE NO. 11,123
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7444, SAME BEING THE PRIVILEGE
TAX ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That portion of Section 1,A. of Ordinance No. 7444,
same being the Privilege Tax Ordinance of the City of Little Rock, Arkan-
sas, which reads in form and substance as follows:
"Automobile Dealers, Used Cars and Trucks
(Includes painting and repairing of cars
offered for sale) - One who sells more than
four used cars or trucks within one calendar
year------------------------------------------ $150.00"
shall be, and is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"Automobile Dealers, Used Cars and Trucks
(Includes painting and repairing of cars
offered for sale) - One who sells or
offers for sale from an established
place of business, regardless of the
nature of said business, or one who
sells more than four (4) used cars or
trucks within one calendar year from
a location other than an established
business -------------------------------------- $150.00"
SECTION 2. That portion of Section 1,A. of Ordinance No. 7444
which reads in form and substance as follows:
"Tourist Cabins, per unit------------------ - - - - -$ 2.00"
shall be, and is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"Tourist Cabins, Motels or Tourist Courts,
whether operated in conjunction with another
business or separately, per unit--------- - - - - -$ 2.00"
SECTION 3. It is found by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, that the language contained in those portions
of Ordinance No. 7444,as above described,creates uncertainty as to the
meaning thereof in view of changed conditions since the passage of
said ordinance, and in order to effectively and fairly administer
privilege taxes within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, this ordi-
nance is necessary; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to

exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval; all ordinances and parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
