AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, - VACATING, AND ABANDONING PORTIONS OF
WOODLAWN STREET BETWEEN HUGHES AND MCADOO STREETS IN SUCCESS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the lLLth day of July 1960
asking the Board to vacate that portion of Woodlawn Street designated on the
plat of Success Addition to the City of Little Rock, now appearing of record
in Plat Book 1, Page 128, in the office of the Recorder for Pulaski County,
Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point 5' East of the SW co rner of Lot 7, Block 28;
run thence South 40 feet to a point 5' East of the NW corner of Lot 12,
Block 29; thence East along the North line of Lots 12 and 1, Block
29, a distance of 282 feet to a point 51 West of the NE corner of
Lot 1, Block 29; thence North a distance of 40 feet to a point 51
West of the SE corner of Lot 6, Block 28; thence West along the
South line of Lots 6 and 7, Block 28, a distance of 282 feet to the
point of beginning, all in Success Addition to the City of Little Rock,
AND commencing at the SW corner of Lot 6, Block 27, thence
South a distance of 40 feet to the NW corner of Lot 1, Block 30,
thence East along the North line of Lot 1, Block 30, a distance of
135 feet to a point 5' West of the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 30;
thence North a distance of 40 feet to a point 5 feet West of the
SE corner of Lot 6, Block 27; thence West along the South line of
Lot 6, Block 27 a distance of 135 feet to the point of beginning,
all in Success Addition to the. City of Little Rock, AND commencing
at a point 5 feet East of the SW corner of Lot 7, Block 26; thence
South a distance c&- 40 feet_to_a point 5 feet East of the NW
corner of Lot 12, Block 31; thence East along the North line of
Lots 12 and 1, Block 31, a distance of 282 feet to a point 5 feet
West of the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 31; thence North a distance of
40 feet to apoint 5 feet West of the SE corner of Lot 6, Block 26;
thence West along the South line of Lots 6 and 7, Block 26, a distance
of 282 feet to the point of beginning, all in Success Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; AND commencing at a point .51_. - East
of the SW corner of Lot 7, Block 25, run thence South 40 feet to a
point 5 feet East of the NW corner of Lot 12, Block 32, thence along
the North lines of Lots 12 and 1, Block 32, a distance of 287 feet
to the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 32; thence North a distance of 40
feet to the SE corner of Lot 6, Block 25, thence West along the
South lines of Lots 6 and 7, Block 25 a distance of 287 feet to the
point of beginning, all in Success Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board has, at the
time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard
on the question, and has ascertained that the street, or the portionther a of herein -
above described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street;
that same has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at
least five years subsequent to the filing• of the plat; that all the owners of the
property ,abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated have filed with

this Board their written consent to such abandonment, and that public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such portion
of said street.
NOW TIE REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases, vacates
and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in
and to the portion of Woodla.wn Street in Success Addition to the City d Little
Rock, designated as follows:
Commencing at a point 5' East of the SW corner of Lot 7, Block 28;
run thence South 40 feet to a point 5' East of the NW corner of Lot 12,
Block 29; thence East along the North line of Lots 12 and 1, Block
29, a distance of 282 feet to a point 5 ' West of the NE corner of
Lot 1, Block 29; thence North a distance of 40 feet to a point 51
West of the SE corner of Lot 6, Block 28; thence West along the
South line of Lots 6 and 7, Block 28, a distance of 282 feet to the
point of beginning, all in Success Addition tothe City of Little Rock,
AND commencing at the SW corner of Lot 6, Block 27, thence
South a distance of 40 feet to the NW corner of Lot 1, Block 30,
thence East along the North line of Lot 1, Block 30,. a distance of
135 feet to a point 5' West of the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 30;
thence North a distance of 40 feet to a point 5 feet West of the
SE corner of Lot 6, Block 27; thence West along the South line of
Lot 6, Block 27 a distance of 135 feet to the point of beginning,
all in Success Addition to the City of Little Rock, AN D comrnmci.ng
at a point 5 feet East of the SW corner of Lot 7, Block 26; thence
South a distance of 40 feet to a point 5 feet East of the NW
corner of Lot 12, Block 31; thence East along the North line of
Lots 12 and 1, Block 31, a distance of 282 feet to a point 5 feet
West of the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 31; thence North a distance of
40 feet to a point 5 feet West of the SE corner of Lot 6, Block 26;
thence West along t1e South line of Lots 6 and 7, Block 26, a distance
of 282 feet to the point of beginning, all in Success Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; AND corms ncing at a point 5 feet East
of the SW corner of Lot 7, Block 25, run thence South 40 feet to a
point 5 feet East of the NW corner of Lot 12, Block 32, thence along
the North lines of Lots 12 and 1, Block 32, a distance of 287 feet
to the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 32; thence North a distance of 40
feet to the SE corner of Lot 6, Block 25; thence West along the
South lines of Lots 6 and 7, Block 25 a distan ce of 287 feet to the
point of beginning, all. in Success Additim to the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall
be filed in the office of the recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in
the deed records of said county.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.
