AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
COOLIDGE STREET BETWEEN "K" AND "L" STREETS IN SUCCESS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 14th day of July, 1960, asking the
Board to vacate that portion of Coolidge Street designated on the plat of Success
Addition to the City of Little Rock, now appearing of record in Plat Book 1,
Page 128, in the office of the Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the NW corner of Lot 8, Block 1, run thence
East a distance of 40 feet to the NE corner of Lot 1, Block 2;
thence South 226 feet to a point 10t north of the SE corner of
Lot 4, Block 2; thence East a distance of 40 feet to a point 101
north of the SW corner of Lot 5, Block 1; thence North a dis-
tance of 226 feet to the point of beginning, all in Success
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
according to the plat appearing in Plat Book 1, Page 128.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to
be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street, or the portion
thereof hereinabove described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use
as a street; that same has not been actually used by the public generally for
a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all the
owners of the property abutting upon that portion of the street to be vacated
have filed with this Board their written consent to such abandonment; and that
public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of
such portion of said street.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its right, together with the rights of the public
generally, except expressly reserving an easement for the water lines of the
Little Rock Municipal Water Works as said lines are now in place in said
street, in and to the portion of Coolidge Street in Success Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, designated as follows:

Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk
shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas and
recorded in the deed records of said county.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
