AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
WOODLAWN STREET BETUEEN BRYANT AND MELLON STREETS IN SUCCESS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 1 th day of
Jul: , 1960, asking the Board to vacate that portion
of Woodlawn Street designated on the plat of Success Addition to
the City of Little Rock, now appearing of record in Plat Book 1,
page 128, in the office of the Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point 5; East of the SW corner of
Lot 7, Block 27, run thence South 40 feet to a
point 51 east of the NW corner of Lot 12, Block
30; thence East along the North line of Lot 12,
Block 30, 135 feet to the NE corner of said Lot
12, Block 30; thence North 40 feet to the SE cor-
ner of Lot 7, Block 27; thence West along the
South line of said Lot 7, Block 27, 135 feet to
the point of beginning, all in Success Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question, and has ascertained that the
portion of the street hereinabove described has heretofore been
dedicated to the public use as a street; that same has not been
actually used by the public generally for a period of at least five
years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all the owners of
the property abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated
have filed with this Board their written consent to such abandonment,
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of such portion of said street.
NCK THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with rights of the
public generally, in and to the portion of Woodlawn Street in Success
Addition to the City of Little Rock, designated as follows:
Commencing at a point 5= east of the SW corner of
Lot 7, Block 27, run thence South 40 feet to a
point 5f east of the NW corner of Lot 12, Block
30; thence east along the Aorth line of Lot 12,
Block 30, 135 feet to the NE corner of said Lot
12, Block 30; thence North 40 feet to the SE cor-
ner of Lot 7, Block 27; thence West along the

South line of said Lot 71 Block •27, 135 feet to
the point of beginning, all in Success Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
,Arkansas
Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Pulaski
County# Arkansas and recorded in the deed records of said County.
Section 3, This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
