AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
FRONTING ON CANTRELL ROAD IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING AND PAVING
SAID CANTRELL ROAD; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in addition to all right -of -way heretofore dedicated,
acquired and /or condemned for the purpose of widening and paving Cantrell
Road, such parcels of real property fronting on said right -of -way as are
hereinafter described are needed for the purpose of widening and paving
said Cantrell Road;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. In addition to all right -of -way heretofore dedicated,
acquired and /or condemned for the purpose of widening and paving Cantrell
Road in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the following described parcel
of real property situated in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is hereby
condemned, and the City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to file
in the proper courts condmenation proceedings against said parcel of
real property:
Beginning at a point in the north line of Lot 10, Block 24,
Mountain Park Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
that is 25.0 feet east of the northwest corner thereof; thence
in a southwesterly direction along the arc of a 20 foot radius
curve to the left 31.4 feet to a point that is 20.0 feet south
and 5.0 feet east of the northwest corner of said Lot 10; thence
south parallel to and 5.0 feet east of the west line of said
Lot 10, 8.5 feet to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction
along the arc of a 25.0 foot radius curve to the right 39.2 feet
to a point that is 3.5 feet south and 30 feet east of the north-
west corner of said Lot 10; thence north 3.5 feet to a point in
the north line of said Lot 10; thence west along the north line
of said Lot 10, 5.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing
135 square feet more or less. Said property is owned by J. V.
Hall and Ruth Hall.
The properties above described are necessary to be utilized for the
purpose of widening Cantrell Road in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is directed to secure an Order allowing
the City to take immediate possession of the properties described herein-

above upon its posting a bond or City of Little Rock check in the
amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney is authorized
to have posted on behalf of the City a bond or City of Little Rock
check in the amount to be determined by the Court pending final de-
termination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. It has been found and determined that the safety of
the citizens of the City of Little Rock is jeopardized by reason of
the narrow width of Cantrell Road and that the condemnation of these
parcels of real property will enable the widening of said Cantrell Road
so as to reduce said traffic hazard; now therefore, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of public peace, health and safety shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
