ORDINANCE NO. 11,104
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00)
FROM THE PARKS & AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION FUND, PROJECT 15, TO THE ROBERT G.
WALKER MEMORIAL TENNIS CENTER FUND CREATED BY RESOLUTION NO. 2312; APPRO-
PRIATING THE SUM OF THIRTY NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY SEVEN AND
86/100 DOLLARS ($39,827.86) IN FULL PAYMENT OF THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION
OF SAID TENNIS CENTER; AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A CHECK FOR SAID AMOUNT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City by Resolution No. 2312 created a Robert C. Walker
Memorial Tennis Center Fund; and
WHEREAS, contributions to that fund total Thirty Four Thousand
Eight Hundred Twenty Seven and 86/100 Dollars ($34,827.86); and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock desires to contribute Five
Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($5,000.00) to said fund and authorize pay-
meet in full of the construction price of said Tennis Center amounting
to Thirty Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Seven and 86/100 Dollars
($39,827.86); and
WHEREAS, total cost of the construction of said Center has been
paid by Jay J. Freeman, Jr., Trustee, Arkansas Tennis Patrons Foundation,
310 Collins, Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, said Jay J. Freeman, Jr., Trustee, is entitled to be
reimbursed by the City out o the Robert G. Walker Memorial Tennis Center
Fund,created by Resolution No. 2312,for the total cost of said construction;
and
WHEREAS, Collie, Inc., Contractor for the construction of said
Tennis Center, has certified under date of August 1, 1960, that all labor
and material bills for said construction have been paid in full;
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby authorized the transfer of Five
Thousand and No /100 Dollars from the Parks & Airport Construction Fund,
Project 15, to the Robert G. Walker Memorial Tennis Center Fund, which
amount of money represents the City's contribution to said Fund.

SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated and the City Manager
and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue
a City Warrant in the amount of Thirty Nine Thousand Eight Hundred T-N7enty
Seven and 86/100 Dollars ($39,827.86) drawn against the Robert G. Walker
Memorial Tennis Center Fund created by Resolution No. 2312 of the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, which warrant shall be paid
to Jay J. Freeman, Jr., Trustee, Arkansas Tennis Patrons Foundation,
as full payment for any and all costs in connection with the construction
of the Robert G. Walker Memorial Tennis Center at Markham and Van Buren
Streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
