AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. -624 _ OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
1%-TTEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two -
thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that
an improvement district.be established for the purposes hereinafter
set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said peti-
tion was signed by more than two - thirds in assessed value of the
owners of real property within said territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas;
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 5,
Pleasant Hill Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, which corner is located on the South right
of way line of "K" Street; thence East along said
right of way line 323 feet to the Northeast corner
of Lot 4, Block 6 of said Addition; thence South 288
feet along the Fast property line of Lots 4 and 9,
said Block 6 to the Southeast corner of said Lot 9;
thence southerly to the Northeast corner of Lot 1,
Block 11, said Addition; thence South through the
center of Blocks 11 and 14 of said Addition to the
Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 14, Pleasant Hill
Addition, said corner being on the North right of
way line of 11H11 Street; thence West along the North
right of way line of rrh" Street to the Southwest
corner of Lot 4, Block 13 of said Addition; thence
North along the West property line of Lots 4, 31 2
and 1, Block 13, Lots 4, 31 2 and 1, Block 12 and
Lots 4, 37 2 and 1, Block 5 of said Addition to the
Northwest corner of said Lot 1, Block 5, which is the
point of beginning, for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing,
guttering and paving, in such a manner and with such materials as
the Commissioners to be elected for said improvement district shall
deem to be for the best interest of the district, the following
parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:
Cleveland Street from the North line of "LI" Street to
the South pavement line of "K" Street,
and that the cost thereof, over'and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and
charged upon the real property above described, provided, the
liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited.to its
assessed benefits.
Said District shall be known as "Street Improvement District
No. 624 of Little Rock, Arkansas ", and F. J. Menz, Theo Mashburn
and Robert Wage are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose
the Board of Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
