ORDINANCE NO. 11093
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 11,0903,
SAME BEING: "AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY FRONTING ON UNIVERSITY AVENUE IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF
WIDENING AND PAVING SAID UNIVERSITY AVENUE; DIRECTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST
SAID PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. ";
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the descriptions of the parcels of real property to
be condemned as set forth in Ordinance No. 11,090 are incorrect; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock desires
to correct same;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 11,090 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. In addition to all right -of -way heretofore dedicated,
acquired and /or condemned for the purpose of widening and paving
University Avenue in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the follow"
ing described parcels of real property situated in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, are hereby condemned, and the City Attorney is hereby
ordered and directed to file in the proper courts condemnation pro-
ceedings against said parcels of real property:
Beginning at the SW corner of Lot 6, Block 9 of Lincoln Park
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, thence North
along the East line of Lot 6 and 5 of said Block 9, 60.0 feet
to the Northwest corner of said Lot 5; thence East along the
North line of said Lot 5, 6.2 feet to a point; thence in a
Southwesterly direction 60.1 feet to a point in the South line
of said Lot 6 that is 5.0 feet East of the Southwest corner
thereof; thence West along the South line of said Lot 6, 5.0
feet to the point of beginning, containing 336.0 square feet
more or less. Said property is owned by Maggie May Weedman and
Mark Weedman.
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 9 of Lincoln
Park Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence North
along the West line of Lots 4, 3, 2 and 1 of said Block 9,
120.0 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence East
along the North line of said Lot 1, 8.6 feet to a point; thence
in a Southwesterly direction 120.2 feet to a point an the South
line of said Lot 4, said point being 6.2 feet East of the South-
west corner of said Lot 4; thence West along the South line of

said Lot 4, 6.2 feet to the point of beginning, containing 888.0
square feet, more or less. Said property is owned by Mark
Weedman.
The properties above described are necessary to be utilized for the
purpose of widening University Avenue in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas."
SECTION 2. It has been found and determined that the safety of
the citizens of the City of Little Rock is jeopardized by reason of
the narrow width of University Avenue and that this amendment to Ordi-
nance No. 11,090 will enable the City to condemn certain parcels of
real property needed to widen said University Avenue so as to reduce
said traffic hazard; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
