AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SETBACK LINE ON PROPERTY ABUTTING
UPON THE LINCOLN AVENUE VIADUCT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. A building set back line of fiteen feet is hereby
established on all property abutting upon and adjacent to a portion
of the now existing right -of -way for Cantrell Road or Highway 10
within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which portion is specifically
described as commencing at the Eastern most end of the Lincolid Avenue
Viaduct and ending at the Western most end of said Lincoln Avenue
Viaduct.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Whereas, the construction of Cantrell Road or Highway
10 within the City of Little Rock into a four (4) lane highway and
primary street is contingent upon the establishing of a set back line
on the portion of said street or highway known as the Lincoln gven1w.
Viaduct; and Whereas great injury to the public health, safety and
welfare will result from any delay in establishing said set back line;
and Whereas, the establishing of such a line will inure to the benefit
of the public health, safety and welfare and relieve the obnoxious
situation now existing; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect fr3am
and after its passage and approval.
