ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING A POR-
TION OF WEST SIXTEENTH STREET FROM THE PLATTED
DRAINAGE DITCH RUNNING BETWEEN LOTS 14 and 15,
BLOCK D. OAK FOREST GARDENS ANNEX, 165 feet WEST
TO HAYES STREET OR UNIVERSITY AVENUE.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 13th
day of September, 1960, asking the Board of Directors to va.
cate and abandon all of that portion of West Sixteenth Street
running west from the platted drainage ditch between Lots 14
and 15, Block D of Oak Forest Gardens Annex, 165 feet west
to Hayes Street or University Avenue, said street being
designated on the plats of Oak Forest Gardens Annex and
Batman's Subdivision of Cherry & Cox Addition, Additions to
the City of Little Rock, now on file in Plat Book 4, Page 314,
and Plat Book 1, Page 91, in the office of the Circuit Clerk
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public
easements in said street; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the
notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question
and has ascertained that the street hereinbefore described has
heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street, as
herein described; has not been actually used by the public
generally for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent
to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the
property abutting upon the street to be vacated have filed with
the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandon-
ment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such street;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the street designated
as f ollows :
West Sixteenth Street from the platted drainage
ditch running between Lots 14 and 15, Block D.
Oak Forest Gardens Annex, 165 feet west to Hayes
Street or University Avenue,
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in
said street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the
County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
