AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1108, PARAGRAPH 2 AND
SECTION 1208, PARAGRAPH 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 7888, AS
AMENDED, TO MODIFY THE REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRE SEPARA-
TIONS OF BOILER ROOMS OR ROOMS CONTAINING A CENTRAL
HEATING PLANT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1108, Paragraph 2 and Section 1208,
Paragraph 2 of Ordinance No. 7888, as amended, same being known
as the Little Rock Building Code, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"Every boiler room or room containing a central
heating plant housing one or more steam boilers
carrying more than 15 pounds pressure with a
rating of more than 10 boiler horsepower shall
be separated from the rest of the building by a
"Two -Hour Fire Separation" as specified in Section
503, except that in buildings of not more than two
(2) stories in height a "One -Hour Separation" may
be used."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
