AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 112139 BY APPROPRIATING CERTAIN
MONEYS FOR THE PURCHASE AND RELOCATION OF FIRE ALARM CABLE; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from Unappropriated
Surplus in the General Fund to Account No. 7.5 of the Fire Department (94)
the sum of Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Five and No /100 Dollars
($15,365.00) for the purchase of fire alarm cable and the sum of One
Thousand Eight Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($1,800.00) for relocating
fire alarm cable due to the Third Bridge Expressway construction.
SECTION 2. Section 13.C.(6)c. and h. of Ordinance No. 11,139
is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 6. Whereas, it has been determined that certain appro-
priations need to be made by the City in order to purchase and relocate
fire alarm cable, and whereas, if said cable is not purchased or re-
located the safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be impaired, and
whereas, this ordinance is designed to provide for the immediate acquisi-
tion of the said cable; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
