AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONEYS FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVENTY TWO THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED EIGHTY DOUR AND N0 1100 DOLLARS ($72,784.00) -FOR THE BENEFIT
OF THE LITTLE ROCK HOUSING AUTHORITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on March 3, 1961, the sum of Fifty Thousand and
N01100 Dollars ($50,000.00) was received from Philander Smith
college and the sum of Twenty Two Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty
Four and No /100 Dollars ($22,784.00) was received from Bethel
AME church, which funds were paid into the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, constructively and for the benefit of the Little Rock
Housing Authority; and
WHEREAS, on March 3, 1961s the city of Little Rock, Arkansas,
desires to pay all of the money so received, to -wit: Seventy Two
Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Four and No /100 Dollars ($72,784.00)
to the Little Rock Housing Authority, the government entity, legally
and equitably entitled thereto; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
acknowledge the above transaction and ratify and approve same;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The receipt on March 3, 1961, by the city of
Little Rock, Arkansas, of Fifty Thousand and No /100 Dollars
($50,000.00) from Philander Smith college and Twenty Two Thousand
Seven Hundred Eighty Four and No /100 Dollars ($22,784.00) from
Bethel AME church, all totaling Seventy Two Thousand Seven Hundred
Eighty Four and No /100 Dollars ($72,784.00), is hereby acknowledged,
ratified and approved.
SECTION 2. There ib hereby appropriated from the General Fund
of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, the sum of Seventy Two Thousand
Seven Hundred Eighty Four and No /100 Dollars ($72,784.00), payable to
the Little Rock Housing Authority, representing the sums received by
the City of Little Rock and to which the Little Rock Housing Authority
was equitably and legally entitled, is hereby ratified, confirmed and
approved.

SEUTiON 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
